Aloe Vera: The Plant of Immortality

Aloe vera or Aloe Barbadensis is the most powerful and effective medicinal plant that exists. It was known in ancient Egypt as “The Plant of Immortality” and was used by Cleopatra in her beauty bath… I mean that’s what they say and the idea of it makes it kind of glamorous.
Rich in vitamins, trace elements, enzymes and amino acids, it has extraordinary virtues on the skin and body. It has a huge reputation due to its use in cosmetic to heal burns and wounds and fight against cells aging, but also in medicine and phytotherapy to clean the intestinal flora, straighten the immune system and improve blood circulation.
Aloe vera usually comes in gel form, but you can find it as a component in many creams, cleansers or toners. The organic gel form of aloe vera is the most effective as it’s only pure aloe vera juice mixed with a gelling agent and a natural conservative.

Properties
Excellent moisturizer, Aloe vera is used to compensate water loss from the skin. Nutritious, it provides the skin with essential vitamins and trace elements. It can heal, stimulate skin repair and accelerate the microcirculation. Soothing, it calms inflammation and relieves skin’s irritation. Its regenerating and tensing effects make it interesting as an anti-aging cosmetic. It stimulates fibroblasts growth, collagen and hyaluronic acid synthesis. Even though, aloe vera gel is very penetrating, it creates a protective film against wind, salt, sun or dirt particles. It’s also a purifying product that has anti-bacterial activity and can fight the candida albicans fungus which makes it really effective to reduce acne. Finally, aloe vera is reputed to reduce black spots.

For who ?
ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE. Whether your skin in dry, oily, sensitive, redness or acne prone. It can be used for dehydrated skin care, dry, desquamated, for mature skin, wrinkles, dull, distended and devitalized skin. For skin problems such as acne, eczema, herpes, psoriasis and for irritated skin, sensitive, razor burn, sunburn, burns (1st and 2nd degree ) and wounds. And the cosmetic industry is aware. That’s the reason why you find aloe vera in almost every products nowadays, from gentle cleansers to high end anti-wrinkle creams. But you must know that aloe vera mixed with irritating components loses all its benefits. When I was using the Nature republic aloe vera gel, it damaged my skin because of the alcohol it contains, while the aroma zone gel is literally a product from heaven and it totally saved my skin because it contains ONLY aloe vera.

How to use aloe vera gel ?
It can be used alone as a moisturizer, it will nourish and protect the skin. You can use it as a regular moisturizer for the face, body and as an eye cream, as a hair care product and even use it as a moisturizing mask (thick layer of aloe vera gel on your skin for an hour or leave it for the night).

My personal use of aloe vera gel
I use the gel from Aroma Zone. It’s a 100% natural, organic gel, and it’s the best I’ve ever tried. Only 7$ for 100ml.
I personally think the best use of aloe vera gel is after your toner and immediately followed by your moisturizer, or mixed with a serum or an oil. Mixed with my serum, it gives my skin a beautiful and healthy glow. In the summer I use it as a makeup base, as it matifies my T zone and keeps it from shining during the day.
A drop of the gel with tea tree essential oil will help get rid of any breakouts, especially the big ones. I also use it on acne scars (a miraculous treatment when mixed with vitamin E).

So if your’re not using aloe vera gel yet, run to your pharmacy to get a bottle. Aloe vera is absolutely amazing, and it’s a miraculous product that can do anything. You can also drink it ! It’s great for detoxifying the organism !
